Eco minded printmaker. Inspired by bugs, hedgerows, weeds and specific environmental projects. I see printmaking as a collaboration between the artist and the process – there’s always an element of magic!
I use a lot of different printmaking processes and delight in the possibilities and moments of real surprise you get with hands on printmaking. A recurring theme is the use of materials gathered from the environment in the actual creative process. These materials leave traces of themselves embedded in the artwork – as we too leave traces of our activities etched into the landscape.
Where to find me
I am a founder of Double Elephant Print Workshop based in Exeter. Visitors are welcome at the Print Workshop and Screenprint Studio on Wednesdays.
Other than arranging a studio visit, my work can be seen in my Etsy shop, various random exhibitions, and the Double Elephant browser at Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum shop. My time at Double Elephant prevents me from supplying galleries on a regular basis.
